Joe Kunkel is currently an angel investor and mentor to early stage startups. He is on the Board of the Lighthouse Labs Accelerator and is actively involved in the local startup community. Previously Joe served as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Strategy at CarMax, Inc. from April 2001 to December 22, 2012. Mr. Kunkel joined CarMax, Inc. in 1998 as Vice President, marketing and strategy. Prior to joining CarMax, Inc. Mr. Kunkel was the Founder/President of Wholesome Kidfoods, Inc. from 1995-1998. Before that he worked for 7 years in the Chicago office of McKinsey and Company focusing mostly on sales and marketing strategies and Consumer Product companies.
