- John founded Lee Technologies in 1983 and grew it as Chairman and CEO into the nation’s leading expert in data center design, commissioning, and 24×7 critical infrastructure monitoring, reaching $140 million in revenue by 2011.
- He led the company’s sale to Schneider Electric in 2011 and remained in a senior leadership role there until December 2014.
- John serves on the boards of Middleburg Financial Corporation, Canara, Primary Integration, and Aegis Mobile, and previously chaired the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts and the Northern Virginia Technology Council.
- He holds a BA in Economics from Randolph-Macon College and serves on the Virginia Tech Board of Visitors.
